Sidewalk Harvest
An installation series exploring the bounty of Chicago’s sidewalks
There’s enough stuff in the world.
Sidewalk Harvest explores the everyday, usable objects found on city sidewalks and how they got there, where they’ll go next, and whether or not they have value.
All objects have been locally sourced from the streets and sidewalks of Logan Square, Chicago.
Second Hand: Locally sourced mittens and gloves
Walk around Logan Square in winter, and you’ll see single gloves and mittens lying on the ground.
There’s nothing wrong with them, they just don’t have a mate. Well, maybe they’re a bit wet, too.
By washing them at the laundromat and returning them to the community, will they regain their value?
